Promotions – Gratitood
- These Terms ("Terms") govern your use of the Gratitood mobile application ("App") operated by Gratitood Ltd ("we", "us", "our"), registered in England & Wales.
- By downloading, installing, or using the App, you confirm that you:
- are at least 16 years old;
- accept and agree to be legally bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy.
- The App enables users to receive instant digital payments or tips to their bank account via QR codes.
- We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or terminate App features at any time.
- You agree to provide accurate, current information during registration.
- You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials.
- You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized access or security breach.
- You agree to comply with all applicable laws, including anti-money laundering and financial regulations.
- You must not use the App for illegal purposes or transmit harmful content.
- There is a flat rate 1.9% processing fee for all transactions, regardless of payment type or card type. This is less than 2p per pound and helps us maintain the platform.
- We are not a financial institution and do not provide banking services. Use of the App is subject to your payment provider's terms.
- We comply with the UK GDPR and Data Protection Act 2018. Under this, we are the data controller of your personal data.
- Lawful basis for processing includes:
- Consent: for analytics, marketing communications
- Contract performance: for registration, payment facilitation
- Legitimate interests: for fraud prevention, service improvement
- We collect only necessary data (e.g., contact, device, payment info), in line with data minimisation and privacy by design.
- We implement appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data.
- We will notify the Information Commissioner's Office within 72 hours of any data breach, and affected users if they are at high risk.
- You have the following rights under UK GDPR:
- Access, rectification, erasure (“right to be forgotten”), restriction, objection, portability and withdrawal of consent.

- We retain data only for as long as necessary for the purposes described in our Privacy Policy.
- We may share your data with trusted third parties (e.g., payment processors, analytics).
- Such processors act under our instructions and GDPR-compliant agreements.
- All App content, trademarks, graphics, and software remain our property.
- You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, or create derivative works without our express permission.
- To the maximum extent permitted by law, Gratitood Ltd is not liable for:
- Any indirect, incidental, or consequential losses
- Service interruptions or errors not caused by gross negligence
- Losses arising through third-party services
- We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms or engage in illegal activity.
- You may delete your account at any time via the App settings.
- Upon termination, your data will be securely deleted unless otherwise required by law or for legitimate business purposes.
- We may update these Terms from time to time (e.g., for legal changes or service improvements).
- We will provide notice via email or App notification. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
- These Terms are governed by English law and subject to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of English courts.

- UK GDPR alignment: Data minimisation, lawful basis, privacy by design, data subject rights, breach notifications — matches requirements.
- Cookie & tracking compliance: The App's metrics and cookies are covered in Privacy Policy.
- Age limit (16+): we've set ≥16 default, reflecting GDPR threshold in the UK.
- This promotion is open to registered Gratitood account holders only.
- Eligible users may request one (1) free lanyard and printed QR code per Gratitood account.
- To claim, users must complete the request form with their full name, full postal address, mobile number, and email address.
- It is the sole responsibility of the user to ensure all submitted details are accurate and complete. Gratitood accepts no liability for incorrect or incomplete information.
- Items will be produced and fulfilled by a third-party printing and distribution provider.
- Gratitood is not responsible for delays, losses, or errors caused by the third-party provider or postal service.
- This offer is subject to availability and may be withdrawn or amended at any time without notice.
- By requesting a lanyard and printed QR code, you agree that your name and delivery details may be shared with a third-party fulfilment provider for the purpose of production and delivery only.
- This promotion is open to existing Gratitood users with an active account.
- Referrers must share their unique referral code with new users.
- The referral code must be entered by the new user at the point of registration on the Gratitood app.
- A “successful referral” is defined as a new user who registers a Gratitood account using a valid referral code and processes a minimum of £250 in payments through their account.
- Once the above criteria are met, the referrer will receive a £5 voucher for Amazon.
- Voucher codes will be issued to the referring user only, via the method determined by Gratitood.
- There is no limit to the number of referrals an existing user may make.
- Gratitood reserves the right to withhold rewards where fraudulent, abusive, or suspicious activity is detected.
- This promotion may be amended, suspended, or withdrawn at any time without notice.
